Assistant Professor

Kate is a graduate of Creatio, and she returns to NU fresh from completing her MFA. She will be focusing on teaching a number of Audio courses, but will also assist with curriculum development for NU’s Audio Production major.

Kate is teaching:

  • Digital Audio Workstations II
  • Sound Design
  • Sound Design for Games
  • Virtual Game Engine I
  • Virtual Game Engine II

Kate Orr earned her BFA in recording from NU and an MFA in Sound Design and Technology from UNC School of the Arts. Kate loves post-production sound, recording music, and running her own post-production sound company called “AppleCorr Productions.” When she’s not doing sound things, Kate is probably directing, watching movies, or playing video games.
